The Oopbuy spreadsheet checklist to run before you order
Use this after you have a shortlist. The final check should be quick, plain, and hard to misread.
A spreadsheet can help you find ideas, but it should not make the final decision for you. Run the checks below when you have two or three possible listings and want to know which one is clear enough to keep.
Before you compare listings
Product match
- The title matches the item shown in the photos.
- The selected colour, style, and version are easy to identify.
- The listing does not rely on a single generic image.
Category fit
- You are comparing similar products, not unrelated rows.
- The item belongs in the category you are shopping.
- The same checks apply to each option on your shortlist.
Listing clarity
- Photos: the product page has enough images for the item type, including close-ups where details matter.
- Options: the colour, size, version, and variant choice are clear before you add anything to a cart.
- Seller context: the page looks active, options are still available, and the route does not feel broken or outdated.
Fit and measurements
- Clothing has measurements, not only S/M/L labels.
- Shoes have a size chart or enough buyer context to reduce guesswork.
- Bags and accessories list dimensions where scale matters.
- Jackets, hoodies, and shoes are checked for likely weight before you judge value.
Value after shipping
Do not judge a saved find by item price alone. Heavy products and bulky packaging can change the decision quickly. If two listings are close, the better choice is usually the one with clearer evidence, not the one that is slightly cheaper.
| Question | Keep it if |
|---|---|
| Would I still choose it after shipping? | The final value still makes sense compared with similar options. |
| Can I explain why this listing is better? | It has clearer photos, sizing, seller context, or product details. |
| What could go wrong? | The biggest risk is known and acceptable before checkout. |
Final pass before ordering
- Reopen the live page. Confirm it still shows the same item and options you saved.
- Check the exact selection. Size, colour, version, and quantity should match your note.
- Reject unclear items. If two important details are still missing, do not force the order.
- Keep one backup. A backup listing saves time if the best option disappears or changes.
If a listing fails two or more checks, go back to the category page and find an option with clearer photos or better sizing detail.
